General
The historic Smyrna Opera House is a non-profit Community Cultural and Performing Arts Center located in the heart of downtown Smyrna, Delaware. The Opera House is available year-round (including holidays) unless a previously scheduled event/artist has been booked. Whether you are interested in renting our facility for a wedding, birthday party, anniversary celebration, retirement dinner or business meeting, the Smyrna Opera House offers a number of rental options in a beautifully restored, historic facility. Please be assured that the Opera House staff will work with you to help ensure that your event is a success!
Options
1) The B. Stimson Carrow Auditorium
- Seats up to 250 as an auditorium setting
- Seats up to 125 as a banquet setting
- Is equipped with a sound and lighting system
- Can be sectioned into individualized “break-out” areas
- Equipped with both large and small projection screens
- Is perfect for the end-of-conference banquet or keynote speaker luncheon
- Is perfect for a wedding, birthday party or anniversary celebration
2) The Dickinson Room
- Seats up to 150
- Seats up to 125 as a banquet setting
- A large open room
- Can be sectioned into individualized “break-out” areas
- Is perfect for conference breakfasts or luncheons and small parties
3) The Gallery
- Seats approximately 30
- A “U” shaped space suitable for small sessions or workshops
- Is perfect for small reception or buffet
- May be used as a “Green Room” or for hospitality uses
- Relaxed space for a between-session gathering/get-together
