Location:
The B. Stimson Carrow Auditorium

FREE EVENT!

What if Mr. Darcy came to tea? Would you think it a paranormal phenomenon, life in a day of caring for the demented, or a romantic interlude cloaked in suspense?

Learn more when you meet three writers at the Smyrna Opera House on Sunday, May 22 at 2 p.m. for an author presentation and book signing.  Entry is free.  Refreshments will be available.  Listen to great stories, hear about caregiving and dementia, and learn about the writing and publishing process:

Kathleen Long:  USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling Kathleen Long is the author of sixteen novels in the genres of women’s fiction, contemporary romance, and romantic suspense. With over one million copies of her books sold in fifteen countries, she has won a RIO Award and is a two-time winner of the Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence. Her additional honors include RITA® Award, National Readers’ Choice, HOLT Medallion, and Booksellers’ Best award nominations.  A native of Wilmington, Delaware, and a graduate of the University of Delaware, she now divides her time between suburban Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore. When Kathleen is not plotting her next book or teaching creative writing, she spends her time bribing her tween to pick up her clothes, begging the dog to heel, and experimenting with photography. Her next release will be BROKEN PIECES, coming July 2016 from Lake Union.  http://www.kathleenlong.com/

Devon Claire McLaughlin: This author of fantasy and paranormal gothic novels, grew up in Delaware on the Tony Florio Woodland Beach Wildlife Refuge. She is a veterinary technician and has spent most her life working as a race and show horse groom. She now resides in York County, Pennsylvania, with her husband of many years on a small farm with three Haflinger horses, a flock of chickens, several cats, a retired greyhound and an assortment of corn snakes. When not caring for the animals, she participates in historical re-enactments and studies Middle Eastern dance.

Carol Child/Samantha Mozart: She is a book author and newspaper and magazine feature stories writer, essayist, editor, award-winning poet and writing coach. Under her pen name, Samantha Mozart, she has published two books: "Begins the Night Music: A Dementia Caregiver’s Journal, Volume I" and “To What Green Altar: A Dementia Caregiver’s Journal, Volume II.”  Often you can find her gazing out over the tall grass meadow from the cupola of her blog, http://thescheherazadechronicles.org/ , engaged in deep conversation with Moriarty, “The Phantom of the Blog,” who is studying zither and doesn’t dust.

Tony Florio’s beloved memoir of “Progger: A Life on the Marsh,” will be available to buy. Mr. Florio donates all proceeds from his book sales to the Smyrna Opera House.

*We will accept cash and checks for book sales.*
